Arts & Letters by the Sea: Wally Lamb

OMAA continues its exploration of the union between arts and letters with a third series of programs by notable authors and artists. The program occurs on two Sundays during the 2020 season.

Wally Lamb is a New York Times bestselling author known for his widely popular novels She’s Come Undonea finalist for the 1992 Los Angeles Book Awards’ Art Seidenbaum Prize for first fiction, and, anOprah’s Book Club selection. In addition to writing other best-selling novels, Lamb also edited Couldn’t Keep It to Myself and I’ll Fly Away, two volumes of essays from students in his writing workshop at York Correctional Institution, a women’s prison in Connecticut, where he has been a volunteer facilitator for the past 17 years. Former director of the University of Connecticut’s creative writing program, Lamb is also a sought-after keynote speaker and has spoken at universities and colleges, libraries, arts and lecture venues, and literary festivals across the country.
