OMAA in the community

Drawing on a rich artistic history with roots in the origins of American modernism, the OMAA educator travels to schools and community organizations to share objects from the museum’s permanent collection, educating students about the selected artist and inviting them to create artwork related to the lesson. Field trips to the OMAA are included in the program.

OMAA’s strategic plan includes an ambitious goal to bring images and ideas from the museum’s permanent collection and exhibitions to partner organizations and the wider community, in pursuit of OMAA’s vision of community engagement, outreach, inclusion, and accessibility, so that people of all ages and abilities can be inspired and learn through great works of art.
