The View from Narrow Cove

Ogunquit played an outsized role in the history of art and American Modernism. This 65th Anniversary Exhibition unearths highlights from the Ogunquit Museum of American Art’s permanent collection with selections ranging from the late 19th century to the present. Beginning with Charles Woodbury’s first art colony classes and Hamilton Easter Field’s Summer School for the Graphic Arts, the exhibition renders a lively picture of a vibrant artistic community. The show is organized by the Ogunquit Museum of American Art and features a fully illustrated publication, public lectures, and an online feature. The View from Narrow Cove is made possible by the Sparhawk Oceanfront Resort with additional support by Kevin Rowe and Irene Vlitos Rowe.
