Surrounded: Sampling Burchfield’s Wallpaper

Charles Burchfield was highly regarded for rendering imaginative landscapes and for his skills as a colorist. This exhibition explores the artist’s work and its translation to decorative wallpaper, including color variations, original painted designs and fabrics used throughout New England and the Midwest in the first half of the 20th century. This exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Burchfield Penny Art Center in Buffalo, New York.
